Dr. Howard Reid was a local physician who served his country in World War I, World War II's Army Medical Corp, and in the Korean War. He was also an active member of the community, serving as President of the Rotary Club and on the Board of Health. In his free time, he enjoyed painting Cohasset landscapes for friends and for charitable auctions that benefitted the Rotary Club. He was always willing to paint specific Cohasset scenes upon request. Additionally, Reid was known for his wrought iron tables and trivets that had six painted black and white porcelain tiles.
